Literature Text

I dont want a daughter. There is nothing in this society that makes me hope that 20 years from now when this little girl is born that as she grows up she will not be treated differently just because she has a vagina.

I dont want to have a daughter until she can wear what ever she wants and is taken seriously in a professional setting, or anywhere.

I dont want to have a daughter until I can look in to her eyes and tell her she can be anything she wants to be, without knowing she won't get paid as much, or not be able to progress as far as her male colleges.

I don't want to have a daughter until the media makes women in magazines look like real , so I don't have to worry if she is starving herself.

I don't want to have a daughter while poor disabled people cant get married because they will lose the benefits from the government

I dont want have a daughter until I feel like she can safely walk down the street wearing what ever she wants and not be cat called, flirted with, or worse

I dont want to have a daughter until if she decides that she is a he, that my baby wont get murdered because of it.

I don't want to have a daughter until I know that if she loves a woman, she wont get thrown out of her house, fired from her job, or be denied the life she wants because of who she loves.

I can't believe that I am fighting for the same thing that my grandma did in the 60's and 70's, and my mother did in the 80's and 90's.
This needs to change before any child of mine, or my generations will suffer what we have since before my grandma was born.
Just something i thought of sitting at the DMV.
i'd appreciate it if there isn't any hate in the comments please.
